The American Optometric Association recommends a complete eye examination at least once every two years. If you have problems with your vision, or you wear contact lenses, it's a good idea to have your eyes checked more frequently.
At 1Optometrist.com, we're committed to providing you with the most thorough eye exam possible. We employ the latest in vision health technology and practices not only to ensure that you're seeing well, but also to look out for your overall good health.
When you arrive for your eye exam, here is what you can expect. To start with, one of our qualified professionals will:
Review your vision and health history.
Check your blood pressure.
Ask if you are taking medications, or have any vision or health complaints.
Check your visual acuities.
Give you computerized autorefraction and autolensometry tests.
Examine your pupils and extraocular muscles.
Test your color vision.
Next, a Licensed Optometrist will give you a dilated retinal exam and test your eyes for refraction, binocular vision, glaucoma, and cataracts. Upon request or if warranted, you will also receive:
Screening for laser vision correction.
Testing for colorblindness correction.
Testing and/or punctal plug occlusion for dry eye.
Testing for determination of computer vision syndrome and its correction.
Both Dr. Hayden and Dr. Potaznick have expanded their licenses to include the treatment of anterior
segment eye diseases such as bacterial and viral conjunctivitis, as well as allergic conjunctivitis
and contact lens-related complications.
